The website has been posted and a Facebook page has been created for the film. We are pleased to see that many people have checked out the website out in the last week, and want to encourage everyone to pass the link on. We will be pre-interviewing the first person referred though the “Submit a Story” page on Monday.

At the same time, we are beginning our search for a student intern interested in managing the internet side of the project, including the website, this blog and the Facebook page, among other things. If you know anyone who might be interested, please contact Kathe Telingator via the “Contact” page.

The website finally completed, it will be posted shortly so that we can continue to collect stories, story possibilities, and the financial support needed to begin shooting.

We have already conducted 14 interviews, and our first goal is to put together a short/trailer to help both with marketing the idea and fundraising. We have several more pre-interviews scheduled in the coming weeks to get a better sense of the stories and circumstances behind each interviewee’s story.

We are looking far and wide for possible interviewees -- the children of employers and employees, growing up the cities or suburbs of the North in the late 1950’s to early 1970’s. These people would be in their late 40’s to late 50’s now. We are also looking for employers and employees, same times and places, most of whom would be in their 70’s to 80’s. If you have a suggestion, please visit our “Have a Story” page, and pass the word! This project is being built based on connections!
